Seven local distillers gather for an evening of tastings, discussion, cocktail demos and light fare at Washington, DC’s only urban distillery + restaurant experience on 14th & U Street!

Celebrate the growth of regionally produced brown spirits with a festive evening featuring tastings of multiple whiskeys, cocktail samples and snacks from District Distilling Co. executive chef Justin Bittner.

The 1st Annual U Street Whiskey Jam is open to the public for a suggested donation of $5, all proceeds of which will benefit the important work of DC Central Kitchen. Advanced tickets are available online, and any additional available tickets will be offered at the door.

The inspiration for the U Street Whiskey Jam came from District Distilling’s head distiller Matt Strickland, who has crafted Washington, DC’s first wheat whiskey right on U Street and has been aging it in barrels for 12 months, preparing for a spring 2018 release. “DMV area distilleries are producing some incredible brown spirits, more so now than ever. The DMV is emerging as a region to pay attention to,” says Strickland. “We want to celebrate that by inviting guests to get a picture of some of these incredible spirits in one location.”
